In addition to managing Performance Tracking accounts I am a branch manager for 1st Discount Brokerage Inc. Through 1st Discount my clients have access to a full range of brokerage services including stocks, options, corporate, government and tax-free bonds. Investors can invest by calling me directly or by entering their orders through the Internet. As a discount broker I don't make individual stock or option recommendation but I will answer questions and give my opinion, if requested, based on my experience of working with individual investors and following the markets daily since 1974.
Commissions on Internet Stock and Option Orders entered by the investor
Market orders $19.95 up to 1000 shares, 1001 shares or more $19.95 plus 1 cent a share on the full order. Market orders for stocks under $2.00 are $19.95 plus 2 1/2% of principal. On all limit orders the $19.95 goes up to $24.95. Option orders are $19.95 plus $2.00 per contract to 25 contracts, for 26 or more the per contract charge is $1.50. There is a $3.50 service fee per trade.
Commissions on Voice Stock Orders through a broker
Market and Limit orders: $49 plus 2 cents a share.
Stocks trading under $2.00 per share: $49 plus 2 1/2% of principal.
Option orders must be placed by the investor through the Internet site. There is a $3.50 service fee per trade. |
